I have Mrs Doreen Byrnes of Hereford to thank for the enclosed. Her son found my website and she got in touch, and was thrilled to discover that a photgraph of her late father appears in my book and that I have more in my archive. This is a fine photograph of him at camp in Sherwood Forest, taken not long after he joined in 1940. Many thanks to Doreen for helping put another piece of the history of 181 field regiment(6ksli) in place |
